At the same time, it creates space for professional exchange and supports networking among stakeholders with similar interests, experiences or projects. Where there are suitable points of contact, the platform can facilitate initial connections within the network. The platform’s offerings are continuously being developed and expanded.

The BMZ platform supports exchange, networking and cooperation between individuals and organisations committed to the reconstruction of Syria. The services include:

No. The platform is intended solely for the provision of information and thematic discussion. Nor does the platform implement any projects in Syria. Decisions on the allocation of funds and which initiatives receive financial support are made entirely independently of the platform, within the framework of existing funding structures. Furthermore, the platform is not intended to pool or coordinate offers of aid and donations for immediate emergency relief – appropriate structures for this already exist.

The platform “A New Beginning for Syria”  offers the Partner Pool as a way of highlighting the wide range of initiatives supporting the reconstruction of Syria and connecting stakeholders with one another. 

Individuals, civil society organisations, experts, businesses, funding bodies, academia as well as cities and municipalities can showcase their work in our Partner Pool on the platform and specify what support, partnerships or resources they are seeking or offering. 

How can I introduce my organisation or initiative?

Register your organisation or initiative here. Your entry will then be reviewed by the platform’s secretariat and published in the Partner Pool. Others can then contact you directly.

How do I find partners to collaborate with?

The Partner Pool lists all organisations, companies and individuals who have already registered. You can customise your search using various filters. You can find an explanatory video here.

How do I get in touch with other committed individuals or organisations? 

You can access the entry via the detailed view in the Partner Pool and get in touch with others by sending them a message via the contact form. Whether and when you receive a reply is entirely up to the individual or organisation in question.
